A woman believed to be the daughter of the most-wanted drug trafficker in the world, Joaquín Guzmán Loera of Mexico, has been deported to Mexico after two months in custody in California, her lawyers and American law enforcement officials said Wednesday. The woman, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar, 31, pleaded guilty in federal court on Monday to carrying a fake visa as she tried to enter the United States at the San Ysidro border crossing in October. She was sentenced to time served and returned by immigration authorities to Mexico on Tuesday. A law enforcement source said that officials were “pretty confident” that Mr. Guzmán is her father, but her lawyer said that played no role in her case.
